Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is name or company name and address to be completed, publisher of theanalyst-travel.com. For any question about your data: contact@theanalyst-travel.com.
Data we collect
• Assessment request: name, email, phone or WhatsApp (optional), country of residence, study plans (destination, level, field, intake), background (latest diploma, year, current situation), planned funding and any message. • Contact message: name, email, subject and content of the message. • Coaching booking: name, email, phone or WhatsApp (optional), session topic, chosen slot or availability. • Tourist visa request: name, email, phone or WhatsApp (optional), country of residence, country visited, purpose, dates and length of the trip, Schengen visas previously granted or refused. • In all cases: the site language, the date of the request and the emails exchanged afterwards. The site never asks for identity documents, bank statements or diplomas. If the support requires them, they are requested later through a secure channel.
Why we use it
• To answer your request and prepare the support (pre-contractual steps, GDPR article 6.1.b). • To arrange and run coaching sessions (performance of a contract, article 6.1.b). • To keep our accounts for paid services (legal obligation, article 6.1.c). • To protect the forms against spam and abuse (legitimate interest, article 6.1.f). • To measure site traffic in aggregate, without cookies (legitimate interest, article 6.1.f). We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising and no decision is made automatically.
How long we keep it
• Requests (assessment, coaching, visa) and emails that lead nowhere: deleted one year after the last exchange. • Clients: during the support, then one year after it ends. • Documents shared during the support: deleted when it ends. • Invoices and accounting records: for the period required by Belgian accounting law.
Who can access it
Only The Analyst Travel team and the technical providers that run the site can access your data: • Vercel (website hosting and audience measurement, United States); • Supabase (database, region to be completed); • Resend (automatic emails, United States, sending servers in Ireland); • IONOS (domain name and contact@theanalyst-travel.com mailbox, European Union). Transfers to the United States are covered by the safeguards set out in the GDPR (European Commission standard contractual clauses). If you choose to message us on WhatsApp, your messages go through WhatsApp (Meta), under its own terms and privacy policy.
Cookies
The site sets a single, strictly necessary cookie: NEXT_LOCALE, which remembers the language you chose for the length of your visit. Audience measurement (Vercel Web Analytics) works without cookies: it counts page views in aggregate (page viewed, country, device type, referring site) without identifying you. All details are in the cookie policy.
Your rights
You can ask at any time to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, object to its processing and withdraw your consent. Email contact@theanalyst-travel.com: we reply within one month. If you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels (dataprotectionauthority.be).
Security
Exchanges with the site are encrypted (HTTPS). Requests are stored in a database that only the team can access: a visitor can send a request but can never see anyone else’s.
